Rathna joined De Sangosse Australia in 2017 as a Regional Sales Manager. Prior to that, he has gained most of his proficiency in Sri Lanka, working for a leading Swiss agri-input supplier, A.Baur & Co.
Over the years Rathna has developed vast experience with a wide variety of horticultural and broadacre crops. Having more than 20 years of sales and agronomic experience in agriculture makes him well-equipped to cater to all customer needs.
Rathna holds a Masters degree in Agricultural Science (MAgrSc) (majoring in Agronomy) as well as a Masters degree in Agribusiness (MAgribus), both from the University of Queensland. During his professional development overseas and in Australia, he has developed a strong background in agri-inputs, including fertilisers and plant protection products, as well as excellent business acumen.
Rathna was born and raised on a farm which contributed positively to developing his passion for agriculture. Along with this, Rathna is passionate about cricket, motocross riding, enjoys camping and spending time with his family and friends.
