Rhys Muller

Rhys completed his Bachelor of Agricultural Science at the University of Adelaide including an exchange to the University of Guelph in Canada. In Canada, Rhys immersed himself in North American agriculture. He gained new perspectives on horticulture, focusing on fruit and vegetable production, plant propagation and protected cropping systems.

While studying in 2017, Rhys commenced working full time in the berry industry as a production horticulturalist for the Costa Group in NSW. His professional development was shaped by internationally acclaimed senior agronomists, and he became an integral part of the team that pioneered major innovations in Australian berries. Having worked across the country in various roles, such as a grower, agronomist, and farm manager, he has a well-rounded technical and operational skill set. He is experienced in developing programs for irrigation and nutrition, IPM, climate control and canopy management in both soil and substrate grown crops.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Rhys on the water surfing or fishing. He loves spending time outdoors, whether it be on camping adventures exploring untouched coastlines or tinkering in the garden. Rhys also appreciates the finer things in life and enjoys spending time with family and mates tasting the produce at a local brewery or cellar door.
